K.Will to Perform Wheesung's 'I'm Missing You' on Immortal Songs After 8 Years
K.Will returns to KBS2's Immortal Songs to perform Wheesung's 'I'm Missing You' as part of the composer Kim Do-hoon special.
K.Will will appear in part 2 of KBS2 'Immortal Songs - Composer Kim Do-hoon Special,' airing on the 6th at 6:05 PM, to sing Wheesung's 'I'm Missing You.' This appearance marks K.Will's return to the 'Immortal Songs' stage after 8 years.

K.Will is known as the vocalist who previously set the record for the first 5 consecutive wins in the history of 'Immortal Songs.' As he returns to the same program after leaving a strong impression on the competition stage, attention is focused not just on his comeback, but on his song selection itself.
The song he chose is not his own signature song, but Wheesung's 'I'm Missing You.' It is reported that this selection was made at the request of composer Kim Do-hoon. Within the framework of the composer special, K.Will brings back the memories of 2000s vocal ballads, connecting Kim Do-hoon and Wheesung, to the current stage.
'Immortal Songs - Composer Kim Do-hoon Special' is broadcast in two parts, with part 1 on May 30 and part 2 on June 6. The lineup includes Gummy, Bada, Lee Seung Gi, Lee Seok-hoon, ONEWE, and K.Will, organized in a format where vocalists of different generations and genres provide new interpretations of Kim Do-hoon's songs.
K.Will and Wheesung are also fellow singers who have been mentioned together in the vocal ballad market. The two previously showcased a collaborative stage at the 2016 'Bromance Show' Seoul performance, where they covered 28 songs for 180 minutes. In this context, this 'I'm Missing You' performance is read as a tribute focusing on the emotions left by the song and the interpretation of a fellow vocalist, rather than provocatively consuming the vacancy of the original singer.
K.Will's strength lies in his stable breathing and vocals that build emotion leading up to the chorus, rather than large movements. The key point of interest for this stage is whether he will rebuild the song with his own tone rather than simply imitating Wheesung's song. After the broadcast, viewers' reactions are expected to hinge on how K.Will delivered Wheesung's song alongside his 8-year return.
